Can't download ver 2 toolkit Tried IE and Firefox but neither can find the file. Has it beeen moved?
Can down load ver 1 ok.

no the apk download works just fine !

I still cannot download v2. Tried on the tablet but stil it will not download. This is getting silly. Ver 1 is fine.

Panic over. Got it via Uberizer.

Hi, Would you be so kind to tell me:

1.- Does this tool works on a tablet A20 1GB RAM having 11 partitions?
2.- Does Uberizer once installed in Windows works on the same mentioned tablet?

I will appreciate a lot your answer.

What is the A10 / A13 dump for? it doesn't create system.img nor data.img, only system.tgz. Can I make some rom with this dump?

I have boot.img, bootloader.img, recovery.img, script.bin and system.tgz

I just want to understand the purpose of this dump and maybe helping make it better if possible... ;)

I just want to understand the purpose of this dump and maybe helping make it better if possible... ;)

and those are the files it is supposed to backup!
The data is your and contains your personal info, and apps you have installed ..
The uberizer is the toll for a FULL Backup ..
You can TRY to resore this backup by using
uberizer version 1.6    ONLY

after installing ubersizer make sure your tab is identified.. or install the drivers till it is idented .
now  go to the install location of the uberizer
navigate to  c:\program files\techknow\uberizer
Thee  you will find a  rom_dump    folder
go into that folder and create a new folder and call it  A13_ROM_DUMP_TEST
Now copy your  you dumped files into that directory you just created ..

Niow find the correct CWM to use  Complete Guide for A13 Devices
if yours was a 10 part  use the fsebentley cooked roms  CWM (it is in his topic)
run uberizer   and select i   4
then choose your directory name that you built earleir in this guide ..
It will probably complain about the missing data.tgz file but see if it will flash anyway ..

otherwise try this

Hi again.

After reviving my tablet from darkness, I went to try restoring the stock dump I've made before with the Toolkit following the steps above.
Everything seems to work right, but on reboot it stucks on the android image, and it is not recognizable by system/uberizer.
Do you think using the process of creating livesuit image will have better results?

Well, back to factory firmware trials.

Thanks for the help anyway.

this  is usually common if your  rom dump is of a 4.0.X or 4.1.X and you flash a 4.2.2 rom such as faastjb...  you cannot restore directly over the faaastjb ..
you need to find a rom that semi works and is the same partitioning structure as your rom dump  ... then restore over the top of that !

Sorry for going off-topic here, but I'm really desperate to make this tablet work. It has become a personal challenge (with your help of course). I promise, if my tablet becomes usable again, I will donate something to Technow.

By rom that semi-works, you mean just booting ok, even without good drivers? And how can I know the partitioning structure is the same?

as long as the rom boots and has usb debug enabled ..
well what was your operating system BEFORE you flashed faastjb??  best gues is probably a 10 partion  but that information was in your STOCK rom ..

And STOP bouncing back and forth between the topics .. have no idea what on earth you are doing ..

either flash faast jb and get it to work with drivers
or

restore your tablet from your dump ..

your choice one or the other .. im otta here for the night !

the wm8650 does not have the "hidden menu" like the wm8850  8-)

the best way to know what the wm8650 is would be to use the device analyzer that creates a env.bin on the devices sd card... this env.bin will provide all of the CURRENT drivers on the device... if it is still a stock device then the env.bin is the closest thing to a backup you could have [the firmware is best ofc]

if the device has been modified and not functional like the ts or gs or wifi then the env.bin is not useful as it will only show the current drivers on the device - thus it is critical to make b4 modding anything - BUT this is only for the wm8650 models  8-) ;) 8-)

Hello HcH, I'm pretty much new to this site but for the posts and apps I've seen published I guess it's pretty obvious you have a whole lot of experience doing this tools. Congratulations for the work.

Now, the reason I've been surfing  around the site is that I've been having a rough time with a chinesse WM8850 processor tablet, and I was looking for help. My 4.0 android tablet in some point started getting stuck at the icecream cookie and, after trying and failing to fix it through hard reboots, I got the idea of flashing the tablet. The thing is that it was impossible for me to find the firmware of my tablet because even the motherboard is extremely generic, so I just started installing a bunch of firmwares I found to try and see which worked (I know, terrible idea). I have finally found one that allows me to use the touch screen and I was able to install this app, the TechKnow ToolKit v2.0.

So, the resume is: I made a bad flash to my tablet, could I use the toolkit to find the actual, real model of the tablet even after f*cking it? I think that is the first step to fixing it (after that I'll try to install the Uberoid Custom Firmware)

Thank u so much for reading, I hope you see this and are able to help (and by you I mean all community members, else I think it will be appropiate for me to post a new topic)

Hello ThaOwl,

Sorry to say, but once the flash has been done, the original configuration is gone. Unless you tried it one time using Uberoid, before Uberoid is installed, it will make a ENV backup on the SD ;-) But now it's trail and error I'm afraid. There are some articles on the forum about configuring your tablet once the original configuration has been lost, maybe you 've found those already?

Cheers,

HcH
