Restore factory firmware (recovery) on AllWinner A13
« on: January 07, 2015, 01:55:51 PM »
Hello TechKnow members and visitors!

Sometimes your device can not boot anymore. It will be stuck on the Android logo for eternity.

You can fix this yourself probably thanks to the recovery mode!

Entering the recovery mode:
It's something like holding volume up button while turning it on (or the volume down button)
If all went well, you will see a picture of an Android (probably with a exclamation mark)

Navigating the recovery mode:
Then use the plus/min volume buttons to scroll through the recovery options. The power button (on my phone) acts as the enter key.
You need to run the "data wipe/factory reset" option.

I hope this saves your tablet!

Cheers,

HcH

Usually, for when if all else fails, in this recovery menu you are given the option to "wipe data/factory reset"

This will usually solve most issues which stop the tablet from booting.

Yes, i successed to run a command through adb. Now my tablet doesn't boot at all, it boot but shows only the android logo. I tried reflashing it with livesuit, but livesuit doesn't recognize it, even if i try pressing the volume and power button... What can i do? :(

If reset cannot bring it to proper booting and livesuit fails
I would recommend PhoenixCard 3.09 to flash rom to your external-SDcard.

In addition the question:
what appears in cmd by adb-command 'adb devices -l'?

I tried PhoenixCard but when i insert the sd card it doens't boot up. Now i'm trying PhoenixUsbpro, but when i connect the device as recommended, it shows a red logo, saying that the device is connecting, but it never connects D: What can i do in addition? xD Thanks for the help.

What did you edit in the system folder ?  This is what created your problem ..
Now all you can do is
1)  Long power off for at least 10-15 seconds
2)  Start livesuit and set up the corrrect image file to flash
3)  Press and hold vol + or -     depends on tablet
4)  While continuing to hold the Vol +/- then plug in the usb cable to the tablet  then rapidly press  the power button ..

recheck the driver this is 90% of the flash issues .... again what did you do that brought this on ?
Also you are using a temp email addres from trvbm.com   READ the rules  you have 15 minutes to change or you will be banned per the rules ..
